Last night, history was made, and today will be a day forever remembered by Americans. America has defeated one of the biggest enemies of the American dream, Osama Bin Laden. As we have in the past, Americans have persevered in the relentless pursuit of our goal and we will continue to succeed. While our lives have been changed by September 11th, we still can pursue the American dream and enjoy the freedoms that make this country great, which is exactly what Bin Laden wanted to take away from us. While his death may not have a lasting effect on Al Qaeda, the symbolism of this victory sends an undeniable message to those who fight against America. We will persevere. We will not give up.
Today marks a day for all Americans to come together, regardless of our differences, and celebrate. Today also happens to be the first day of Small Business Week. Let’s use this moment to focus on our current challenges and overcome them. Let’s join together and rebuild our economy. Let’s keep inspiring the American dream. Together, we can get America back on track, one small business at a time.

Re: An Undeniable Message
Although we are glad to see that this tyrant is no longer able to be in control, to rejoice the death of anyone is futile. I watched the multitudes of people rejoice and cheer and fill the streets with joy. We have not won a war... we have not defeated an enemy... our economy has not gotten better as a result... we don't have more jobs. Let us refocus on our own targets instead of rejoicing around false gods. Ben Laden is gone but his predicessors are still around. We need not live in fear, we need to fulfill our dreams and have faith and gratitude for today, here and now.

Although events have an influence on our lives, it's people who make those events real and come alive. I'm thankful to know such a group as the Basso team. Thanks for making a difference and bringing so many great people together.
